Hi, I’m Keturah

My journey with massage and holistic therapies began at the age of 18, and over the past 12 years, this work has grown into far more than a career, it has become a way of life.

In my early twenties, I spent several years travelling, including a deeply formative time in India. While there, I was lucky enough to meet some of the most incredible people, many of whom I now call lifelong friends. At the time, I was always recognisable by my tight bun balanced on the top of my head, my bindi, and a constant smile. I was the youngest and smallest of the group, and before long, jokes began that I resembled Shiva, which soon turned into the nickname Little Buddha.

That time in India left an imprint on my heart and soul. It shaped not only how I see the world, but how I approach healing, connection, and presence. Years later, it felt incredibly special to return and co-host a retreat there, holding space in a place that had once held and shaped me so deeply. When I first named my business, that experience felt inseparable from the work I was offering.

As I’ve grown, I’ve since rebranded to something that feels even closer to my roots and heritage. Being half Kenyan and half English, the name Amani felt like a natural home. Amani is Swahili for peace, not only the absence of chaos, but a deeper sense of tranquillity, serenity, and peace of mind.

At Amani Therapies, my intention is simple: to create a calm, nurturing space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and feel supported in your wellbeing physically, emotionally, and energetically.
